Bishop’s Scholarship Fund: Increasing access to Catholic schools for Students

We know that Catholic education transforms lives. Many families want their children to attend Catholic schools, yet find the cost of tuition prohibitive.  Our mission is to help make this education more affordable for families that want a Catholic education for their children.  Grants through the Bishop’s Scholarship Fund make Catholic schools in the Diocese of Bridgeport more affordable.

All families who have a child or children registered, or are new applicants, in a Diocesan-sponsored Catholic elementary school in Fairfield County Grades K -8, and are in financial need of tuition assistance, are eligible to apply annually.

Since its inception in 2015, the Bishop’s Scholarship Fund has awarded over $20,000,000.

Leaders of Tomorrow

A program of the Bishop’s Scholarship Fund, Leaders of Tomorrow provides full ($6,000), half ($3,000) or quarter ($1,500) tuition for select children with a demonstrated need, who are identified by their principal to be a student of strong academics, good character and leadership potential.

As an investor in the education of a child, donors will be invited to an annual Leaders of Tomorrow celebration, where scholarship recipients and donors alike come together to witness and celebrate the learning and transformation of our Leaders of Tomorrow students.
