Foundations in Education will celebrate their10th Anniversary 2025 Spring Gala, Growing Together, on May 1st at Woodway Country Club, Darien, Connecticut. This is an evening of celebration of Catholic Education and recognizing a decade supporting the mission of Foundations in Education, Inc to benefit Catholic schools across the Diocese of Bridgeport.
The evening of celebration will honor the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, visionary and founder of Foundations in Education Inc, and Thomas E. McInerney, former Board Chair and inspiring philanthropist. These dynamic individuals are at the very heart of Foundations in Education’s mission to provide tuition assistance so students may experience a Catholic education, and grants to teachers for innovation in their classrooms, further benefitting students.
The festivities begin with a reception, followed by a performance by members of the Kolbe Cathedral Preparatory School select choir. The students will be joined for one number by members of Pro Players The Group, who will also provide a special performance later in the evening. Six members of Pro Players The Group will participate in the evening’s celebration and will lend their voices to this important mission.
Following our honorees is another highlight of the evening that will feature remarks by a Leader of Tomorrow student, Catholic Academy of Stamford’s, Greyce. As a Leader of Tomorrow, Greyce represents students qualifying for tuition assistance who are identified by their principal as a student of good character, strong academics and leadership potential. A true leader of tomorrow.
Foundations in Education welcomes the return of Pat Tully as this year’s auctioneer. Pat will bring his special brand of energy and fun to the celebration and will lead the assembly in raising paddles and funds for Leaders of Tomorrow, an Innovation matching challenge now in planning stages and a live auction. Donors to Leaders of Tomorrow specifically help subsidize the cost of a Catholic elementary school tuition for one or more students.
The live auction features 3 auction items for which donors must be present to win including the following:
- Mass and Brunch hosted by the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, November 16, 2025 where the winner and up to 20 guests join Bishop Frank for Mass at the Cathedral, followed by Brunch at the Trumbull residence
- Captain Bob’s Cruise of Long Island Sound includes a cruise for you and up to 11 friends across Long Island Sound where you will disembark in Port Jefferson for dinner. This followed with a short stroll for ice cream, which you will enjoy while you make your sunset cruise back to Connecticut.
- Exclusive in-home dinner experience with a renowned chef, who will prepare and cook a three-course meal for you and your friends.
Proceeds from the Growing Together Gala support Foundations in Education and programs including tuition assistance through Leaders of Tomorrow, and Innovation and Leadership Grants for teachers and administrators. Each Gala gift helps families afford a Catholic education, which provides the values-based, excellent education for which Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic schools are known.
