Foundations in Education, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Henry Rondon to its Board of Trustees.
“In April, our Board of Trustees unanimously voted to have Henry Rondon join their number, and Bishop Frank J. Caggiano enthusiastically appointed him accordingly,” remarked Holly Doherty-Lemoine, executive director of Foundations in Education. “We are excited to continue to build on a remarkably strong board and welcome Henry’s talent and expertise in education to help inform our work going forward. Those who know Henry only had glowing and extremely positive things to say about the value he adds to our work.”
Henry Rondon currently serves as assistant executive director of The Connecticut Association of Schools and Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CAS-CIAC). He joined CAS-CIAC in July of 2019 after serving 22 years in education. Rondon is the sports liaison for Cross Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Ice Hockey, Baseball and Softball for CIAC. He also works with student activities groups such as the Student Equity Advisory Board and the Student Athletic Advisory Board.
Prior to joining CAS-CIAC, Rondon spent 21 years at Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport, where he served as a teacher, coach, club moderator, athletic director, dean of students and ultimately principal, a position he held for five years.
Rondon is a New York City native where he attended Cardinal Hayes High School. He is a 1996 graduate of Sacred Heart University where he played both baseball and basketball and earned a master’s of arts in Teaching and a sixth-year degree in Administration. Rondon served as the assistant coach for Sacred Heart University’s men’s basketball team and the head coach for the University of Bridgeport’s women’s basketball team. Henry currently volunteers with the Catholic Academy of Bridgeport and is a member of the Academy’s Board of Trustees.
“With more than 20 years spent at Kolbe Cathedral High School, it is a pleasure to be able to serve the Diocese of Bridgeport in any way I can,” commented Rondon. “Foundations in Education is really there to be sure Catholic education continues into the future, and I am very happy to be able to help.”
Foundations in Education is the realization of the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano’s vision to support the Diocese of Bridgeport’s ongoing mission to advance Catholic education in Fairfield County. The primary purpose of this non-profit initiative is to support Catholic education by providing tuition assistance for elementary school students and Innovation and Leadership grants for teachers and administrators that promote classroom innovation and professional leadership development and other education-based programs.

Bradford Evans, Lisa Ferraro Martino, Tim FitzPatrick, Michael Hanlon, Leslie Lopez, Andrea Maldon, Anne McCrory, Dr. Julia McNamara, Michele Mitola, Vice Chair Joseph Purcell, Bernard Reidy, Barbara Ripp, Gerard Robilotti, Robert Scinto, Michael Shea, Jennifer St. Victor-de Pinho, Sr. Mary Grace Walsh, and Holly Doherty-Lemoine, ex officio.
