Foundations in Education Honors Founding Trustees at Annual Meeting

Foundations in Education met June 9, 2022 for their Annual meeting at Artisans restaurant in Southport Connecticut. The meeting, followed by dinner hosted by Board Chair Tom McInerney, covered annual business, as well as committee reports on the progress of the Foundation this year.
Highlights of the evening included a report on their most successful annual fundraising Gala to date, raising over $1.3 million. Dr Steve Cheeseman, Superintendent of schools also made a comprehensive report on schools. Steve spoke to a double digit increase in enrollment for the first time in a decade, and early enrollment for next year trending upward as well. He reported further on exceptional academic student growth, especially among new students, measured by testing including Iowa Scores and Edmentum growth scores. Our students are thriving!
Foundations in Education took this opportunity to recognize our Founding Trustees for their commitment to our mission and in laying the groundwork upon which the strength of our organization stands. These individuals have been instrumental in building a Foundation, with an annual budget of nearly $7,000,000 that continues to grow in support of Catholic Education by providing tuition assistance to families, innovation and leadership grants to teachers and other programs benefitting our Catholic schools.
